5/2/25: Oh boo hoo woe is me < -- How I feel writing this
Highkey feeling more depressed than I've ever felt. Ever since the inauguration I've felt like my life has been crumbling apart, which is pretty out of character for me I'm usually pretty upbeat, and jovial day, after day lately terrible shit keeps happening not just in the country but in my life as a whole I wish the US wasn't filled with morons tbh. It's so odd that there are people who are witnessing all the bad trump has done so far, and are continuing to support him, like in my head it just seems so foreign, and insane that there are thousands of people out there continuing to support this man that is ruining the livelihood of innocent people who are simply tyring to live their lives to the fullest, what seems more insane to me is that people that trump is actively oppressing are also continuing to support him.
Anyways y'all hope that y'all are having a better 2025 than I am!
4/29/25: My life as a self proclaimed "retromaxxer"
My site isn't fully fleshed out yet I've been meaning to get to it but from what I have down so far can probably show you all that I'm a massive nerd. Not just
any nerd as a matter of a fact instead a nerd for the 2000s. I try my best to live 20 years in the past not just because I'm a geek but because I grew up in the late 2000s and early 2010s, in my journey of retromaxxing I've realized how awesome life was back then, and I truly do regret wanting to be in the future instead of the present when I was younger, back to the main topic at hand I partly made this entry to talk about how much I love the technology of the 2000s cause sure it was less powerful than what we have now I feel like that era of tech was perfect, and personal devices should've never evolved past what we achieved back then. I don't want to get all "phone bad book good" up in here but man when you're just out and about experiencing life not looking at your phone it gets a little depressing to see people of all ages just blindly looking at their phones and if anything I feel like my generation "Gen Z" gets too much flak for being chronically online cause in my experience it's mainly older generations who are glued to their phones in public. This blog entry is all over the place oml, Alright next thing I wanted to get down here was the stuff I carry on my person at all times: This friday I hit the jackpot at the thrift I got an old Kodak EasyShare DX4530 ever since then it has earned it's place in my pockets along with my DSi I would totally get an mp3 player of some sort but holy cow they are skyrocketing in price I used to get an used iPod for like 30 bucks on ebay now they can run you up to a hundred bucks so i just use my phone for music. Aside from stuff I bring everywhere with me I also have a big 'ol Dell Inspiron from 2017 it's not from the time frame I'm aiming for but to compensate for that I have completely decked out my windows 10 install to look like XP I'll post some pictures later I don't mean to toot my own horn but it's practically 1:1 with real XP and I love it.
That's essentially it for this blog entry I felt like I just needed to nerd out a little bit.
2/26/25: My most unpopular opinion?!
This is a very perculiar first blog entry but oh well! I hope this doesn't anger anyone but I do not like frutiger aero. It instills a primal rage within me, but I actually used to be a massive fan of the aesthetic (you know what else is massive?) wayback in the ancient year of 2022 the term "Frutiger Aero" was coined by the internet to describe that brief period of time in between 2007-2012 where tech companies decided to represent a bright and beautiful future, and I LOVED it my first site was actually inspired by it I was frutiger's greatest warrior, but now I've grown to despise it. I feel like it's grown too big for it's own good and so many of it's sub genres make no sense at all. My biggest gripe is that other aesthetics that used to have other names have been consumed by frutiger aero such as "Frutiger Metro" which actually had a few different names such as "Metro" "Vector Vomit" and many many more, but it got tossed under the frutiger umbrella despite the fact it never used the Frutiger typeface. Another reason I don't care for frutiger anymore is that it's original meaning has been all but lost the "Frutiger" part of the name came from the fact so many graphics, ads, and ux under the umbrella used the "Frutiger" typeface a defining font of the era. My final reason for hating is I grew up within the 2000s and early 2010s and I've watched so much of my childhood be taken, and get labeled under random new aesthetics such as "Frutiger Aero" but I guess this is karma for people my age romantizicing the 80s and 90s when we were growing up it really did comeback to bite me in the ass.
I just want to say my hatred for frutiger aero isn't directed at anyone who likes it! I just wanted to rant about how I don't like frutiger aero and it's sub genres."
